Norse Creation Myth

At the beginning Yggdrasil (the world tree) was alone in the nothingness. Only two worlds existed: Muspelheim & Nilfheim, the worlds of fire and ice. One day the ice of Nilfheim and the fires of Muspelheim joined and created three beings: Ymir (ice giant), Surt (fire demon) and Aombla (a cow).Surt needed no food but Aombla and Ymir to survive did this: Aombla would lick the ice of the body of the giant and Ymir would drink her milk. They had Odin, Vili & Ve on one side & the giants on the other. The first three brothers killed their father & with the parts of his body they created the world. The were now 9 worlds: Asgard, Vanaheim, Midgard, Alfheim, Svartalheim, Hel, Jotunheim, Muspelheim & Nilfheim.
